Location

The main campus is set in a natural habitat approximately 7.5 km outside of Palma, the capital of the Balearic Islands. The islands of Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza, and Formentera form the Balearic archipelago to the east of mainland Spain. Due to their strategic location, the islands have been a major crossing point for all commercial routes in the Mediterranean throughout history. Their culture, climate, clean beaches, calm sea, beautiful landscape, and cosmopolitan character have gained the islands their worldwide fame as an attractive tourist destination. The islands are easily accessible by air from the rest of Europe and also by sea from mainland Spain. Palma is a medium sized city of about 400,000 and has many advantages of a medium-sized city while offering permanent leisure and entertainment facilities.
